Current Factory Training Is Key
Over the last 3 or 4 years, Harley-Davidson® motorcycles have become much more sophisticated. Harley's new electronic fuel injection and completely redesigned motors, such as the Twin Cam 88® and Twin Cam 88B™, are good examples of this sophistication. Even a good technician without the latest factory training and proper tools will struggle. Don't be misled by non-authorized shops advertising "factory-trained technicians." While they may have had some training years ago, only technicians currently employed at an authorized Harley-Davidson dealership have access to current training.
